All World Lacrosse Defense Academy

ALL WORLD DEFENSE ACADEMY

The All World Lacrosse Academy offers a rare opportunity for players to train with Brodie Merrill, unquestionably the best defenseman in the game. Over the last decade, Merrill has revolutioned the way defense is played. With a freakish combination of size, speed and game awareness, Merrill terrorizes his opponents. In the last twelve months alone, Merrill has earned the following accolades: 2010 World Games Best Defenseman and selection to the All World team, MLL Defenseman of the Year and NLL Transitional Player of the Year.

ACADEMY PHILOSOPHY

The Defense Academy will focus on individual skill development to help campers become more complete defenders. Through our unique drills, campers will improve their positioning, check technique, agility, strength and their overall ability to neutralize any dodger. Our approach enables our campers to learn each skill in a controlled environment and then apply them to game situations.

The Defense Academy does not stop there. A complete defender must have a full understanding of their role in team defense. We will use video sessions and on-field demonstrations to explain the roles of the defensemen in every aspect of the game: 6 v. 6, man down, clearing, riding, transition defense, reverse transition, and wing play on face-offs.

Registration is limited to 50 players to ensure that each defenseman gets the attention necessary to take their game to the next level.
