All World Lacrosse Goalie Academy

ALL WORLD GOALIE ACADEMY

Chris Sanderson is the most decorated lacrosse goalie that Canada has ever produced. After a successful career at the University of Virginia, Sanderson joined the Canadian National Team in 1998. This team waged an epic battle with the US in the finals that year, overcoming an 11-goal deficit but ultimately losing in overtime. Sanderson, however, was selected to the All World Team and voted the Best Goaltender of the Tournament.

Sanderson represented Canada again in 2002, helping his native country earn a silver medal. Four years later, when he returned for his third World Games in 2006, Sanderson led the Canadians to their historic victory over the US, earning the gold medal and ending the Americans’ 28-year winning streak. This 2006 tournament also cemented Sanderson’s place in history as the first goalie to earn All World designation twice.

Over the past three years Sanderson has been facing his most challenging opponent yet, brain cancer. Diagnosed late in 2008, he was given 9 to 12 months to live. Against all odds, he returned to the Canadian National team in 2010 and helped Canada earn another silver medal. In the process, he captured his third All World trophy and Best Goaltender of the Tournament award.

ACADEMY PHILOSOPHY

At any level of lacrosse, the most important player on the field is the goalie.  Yet goalies receive very little instruction on how to play the position. The All World Goalie Academy has developed the most innovative goaltending program in North America, one that will significantly increase your ability to stop the ball, manage a defense, and lead your team to a title.  Rather than teaching one style of goaltending, our expert instructors analyze your technique and work within your strengths to ensure success in the cage.

Great goalies do not rely on natural ability and technique alone. These are only the basic foundations of a good goalie. What separates a good goalie from an All World goalie is mental toughness and an understanding of how offense works. Success is not handed down or stumbled upon, it must be earned. If you want to understand modern goaltending, All World will propel your game to the highest level.
