Face-Off Academy

ALL WORLD FACE-OFF ACADEMY

Transition starter, offensive threat, and defensive asset…these are terms not typically used to describe a face-off specialist. That was until Geoff Snider burst onto the international scene in 2006. Playing for Team Canada at the 2006 World Games, Snider was a throw-back to the days when midfielders played all over the field. He dominated face-offs, was featured on both the man-up and man-down units, and orchestrated the fast break offense. Snider was the ultimate weapon for Canada and led the team to their first World Championship in 28 years. For his efforts, he was named the MVP of the tournament.

Registration is limited to 50 players to ensure that each player gets the attention necessary to take their game to the next level.

ACADEMY PHILOSOPHY
The Face-Off Academy will focus on both face-off technique and individual skill development to help campers become more complete midfielders. Through our unique drills, campers will improve their face-off techniques, stick work, ground ball play and overall game awareness. Our approach enables our campers to learn each skill in a controlled environment, then apply these skills to game situations.

The two-way midfielder must have a full understanding of their role in both offensive and defensive team sets. We will use video sessions and on-field demonstrations to explain a middie's role in every aspect of the team game: 6 v. 6, man-down, man-up, clearing, riding, transition offense and defensive transition, and wing play on face-offs.

Instructors
The ultimate face-off man must be the complete player. Dominate the x, make great decisions with the ball, and have the ability to defend the entire field. In addition to Geoff Snider, we have assembled a group of instructors that will share the knowledge and experiences that have taken them to highest levels in the game.
